Sam Winchester is a young man who feels incredible guilt for things he
could not control. His mother was suspended above his crib when he was
six months old, and killed, because the yellow eyed demon wanted him for
something.
He was raised crossing the country in the back of the Impala, because his
father was on the hunt for the yellow eyed demon, because his mother had
been killed. He broke free of that life, escaping to Stanford with dreams of
becoming a lawyer and having beautiful blonde haired children with his
girlfriend Jessica, when all that came crashing down. Twenty two years to
the day after his mother was killed, Jessica was suspended above their bed
before the room burst into flames, killing her.
He wanted to die, only to be pulled from the carnage by his older brother
Dean. Dean had always been more than a brother to him. He was Sam's
tormentor, teacher, guardian, father, mother, friend, trainer and most of all,
protector. Dean pulled Sam out of his grief by focusing him on the same
hunt their father was focusing on, the hunt for the yellow eyed demon.
Again, he had to watch helplessly as his possessed father tortured his
brother. He was behind the wheel of the Impala as it was waylaid by a semi
that broadsided it, sending his brother into a coma and likely death. He
could do nothing more than watch as his father died, trading his life for
Dean's, sending Dean into a tailspin.
He had hopes that the miraculous resurrection of their
father would give the family some much needed peace,
only to have the world collapse around them as he and
his brother were used as instruments of destruction by
two rival demons. The Winchesters, through Dean and
Sam's strength, and John's determination and sacrifice,
yet again saved the world. He just wished the story
ended there. But life is never that simple/
Plagued by apocalyptic visions, Sam had been kidnapped
by the government to be used as a weapon, along with
the other children like him. With abilities he is just
beginning to fully realize he has, never mind understand
or control, he's sick of standing by helplessly as the
people he loves are hurt or killed. Together with his
brother, friends, and the children like him, he's ready to
fight back and embrace his own destiny...which is far
different from the one the yellow eyed demon had
planned for him.
